Your web site, Google map and 2 dots?

Google maps is great for showing your location to people who are about to visit you. But what do you do when you need to show them two locations? For example, you’re arranging to meet a client at one of your two offices and you’re not sure which one they are closer to. How do your best customers find you?

Answering this question reliably and consistently is just about the holy grail of web site marketing. Why waste time, money and energy on anything but your most productive marketing? You can easily see from your web stats how many visitors you get from Google for each keyword. What information don’t you need on your web site?

Image by hooverine via Flickr It can be easy to get a little too carried away when writing content for your web site and you can end up with too much information. Some of it interests nobody. And uninterested visitors leave. Go through your web site with a fine tooth comb. Look at every word and ask yourself “does this word add value?” and “would we lose anything of I removed it? The more you say, the less people hear. So say more with less words.
